On Sunday, February 26th, 2017, we hosted the 6th annual NO FRILLS FUN RUN. This year, all proceeds from the event went to Matt Toole: Coach, Visitation Dad and well-loved Elmhurst guy. Like our runs in past years, it's quite simple: we RAISED MONEY and HAD FUN!!! One hundred percent of the money raised went directly to Matt and his family.
This year, thanks to the amazing support of Matt's friends and the Elmhurst community and beyond, No Frills was able to provide over $80,000 to the Toole Family!! Read more about Matt here.
The race was recently highlighted in a local paper. You can read that article here. And be sure to check out the new video posted to the "Pictures" tab - John Vincent, who sings the national anthem to open Cubs games, shares his amazing voice and talent with all the No Frills After Party attendees!!
No Frills Fun Run is an annual charitable run that was started in 2012 by two moms in Elmhurst, Illinois. Each year, one local family in need is selected to receive 100% of the proceeds from all the funds raised across various fundraising events, the race registration and a rockin' after race party with raffle baskets and silent auction items.
The run itself is exactly as its name implies... "no frills". It's usually cold (and sometimes snowy!) outside but the incredible hearts of this community's runners, sponsors and volunteers make this one of the warmest events in town. The race takes place on the Prairie Path with a start and finish at York and the Prairie Path. There is a course option to run a half-marathon as well as a "half-half" distance (6.55 miles). You can also choose to run or walk a mile if that's more your speed! What matters more than the distance is your participation and support!

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
